I
was supprised to learn that Olympia (easily the most "green" town I've
lived in) didn't already have a cloth diaper service. Since my wife
Lisa and I had already been talking about starting a business, when
I heard this the light bulb when on! I paused then said "well I'll
start one". Perhaps half joking Issac said "yeah and you can call it
Sound Diaper Service". I liked the sound of it so much I asked if
I could use it.
During
the next six months while working for BHR and delivering papers for
the Olympian, I put an additional four hours or so a day into research.
I knew above all else Sound Diaper Service had to be an honest relfection
of this great city we live it. It had to be green. And not just lip
service green but through and through. So we took the time and made
sure everything from the detergent we used to the vehicle we delivered
with was environmentally friendly.
After
countless hours of research and hard work we opened on November 2nd
2004 with two clients. To date we have served over two hundred and fifty families and look
forward
to
serving
hundreds
and thousands
more in the years to come!
